West Mercia Search & Rescue (WMSAR) is a registered charity and a volunteer-run lowland search and rescue team, dedicated to assisting the police and emergency services across the West Mercia region (covering Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and Shropshire).

Our MissionOur highly trained and dedicated volunteers are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ready to respond to missing persons incidents, including vulnerable adults, children, and those in distress. We operate in diverse environments, from urban areas and farmland to challenging rural terrain, and also provide specialist water and swift-water rescue capabilities.
